The Bodyguard has been given the go-ahead to be remade, Deadline.com has reported.

Deadline.com have reported that Kevin Costner’s character Frank Farmer will now be an ex Iraq War Veteran who,after leaving the army,is assigned to look out for a young female global star.

Rihanna has been tipped to play the role of Rachel Marron on the Warner Bro’s shortlist. The new actress must be well-known globally just like Whitney Houston was in this role. Other suggested to get the part are Beyoncé, Jennifer Hudson,Taylor Swift and Miley Cyrus.

The Bodyguard is a film about a former Secret Service agent,Frank Farmer,who takes a job body guarding a famous pop star. When Rachel Marron,the famous singer, starts receiving death threats,security is upped and since Rachel can’t risk going out so much, she and Frank develop a close relationship.

The film is most famous for Whitney Houston’s cover of Dolly Parton’s ‘I Will Always Love You.’

Xerxes is the name of the prequel to the 2006 Spartan epic 300. It focuses on Xerxes life previous to being defeated. It will show everything up until the Spartans set out to kill the King of Persia.

It’s based on Frank Miller’s book series. At the moment it’s in its early stages. Guy Ritchie was suspected to direct the prequel but Warner Bro’s say that it’s just rumours. Zac Snyder directed 300 but he’s currently working on the new Superman film so it’s unlikely that he will have time to take on Xerxes.

Akira is a Japanese animated action film from 1988. It’s about a post war city Neo Tokyo in 2019. Shotaro Kaneda is a member of a biker gang and he tries to stop Tetsuo Shima from releasing Akira.

The animated film was based on Katsuhiro Otomo’s manga character of the same name.

Now Hollywoodis making it into a real life action film. Morgan Freeman has been linked to the part of the Colonel, and Zac Efron has been linked to the role of Akira.

Recently,Harry Potter screenwriter Steve Kloves has been the latest writer to join the Akira film team. He has written Wonderboys and the latest Spiderman film.

Glenn Close,reportedly, has signed up to play Susan Boyle in a biopic of the singer’s life.

Other actors that were interested were Catherine-Zeta Jones,Cathy Bates and Robin Williams. Personally I want Robin Williams as SuBo.

Apparently now that the lead is cast the film is starting to come along. The film has been in the works for a few years now and finally it seems to be on its way to actually being made.

Dead Island has released its trailer for the new game for Xboc 360,PS3 nad Windows XP.

The trailer is disturbing but beautiful and it has emotion. My knowledge of game sis not too vast but even I can recognise that this game will be huge I can also see this being made into a film.

Reports say that Mila Kunis has signed on to play Theodorah in the prequel to the Wizard of Oz called Oz:The Great and Powerful. She will play the wicked witch of the west. The film will be directed by Sam Raimi who has also directed Spider Man.

It has also been reported that James Franco has signed on and will play the young wizard.

The story focuses on where the wizard came from and how the Good Witch Glinda,Good Witch of the North,Evanorah, the Wicked Witch of the East and 
Theodorah, the Wicked Witch of the West.

Neither James Franco or Mila Kunis have confirmed their roles officially yet.

JK Rowling will be the subject of a new made for TV film called ‘Strange Magic.’ The film will tell the story of how Rowling came from writing her first Harry Potter book on a manual type writer all the way up to the last book and her theme park.

Poppy Montgomery, an Australian actress,will take on the part as JK Rowling. The film will be shot in Canada.

JK Rowling is the first female writer to become a billionaire from her own books.

French reports have claimed that Marion Cotillard will play Batman’s love interest, Talia al Ghul, in the new film The Dark Knight Rises.

Joseph Gordon Levitt has apparently also signed on to play the role of Black Mask in the third installment.

It has been reported that two Snow White films will be released within the next two years.

The Brothers Grimm: Snow White already has confirmed Julia Roberts as the Evil Queen and will be quite modern.

It’s reported that the film is set for a June 2012 release and will be about Snow White’s and the seven dwarves revenge on her evil stepmother after she kills her father.

Snow White and the Huntsman is the second film about the girl with skin as white as snow and lips as red as roses.

Reportedly they’re hoping Kristen Stewart will take on the role but Charlize Theron and Selina Gomez have also been mentioned to play Snow White.

Viggo Mortensen is in the running to play the Huntsman.

Hollywood Life revealed the plot:Snow White, an 18-year-old princess who is only friends with animals, is getting more beautiful by the day as her step-mother, the Evil Queen Ravenna gets more and more jealous. When Ravenna tries to kill Snow White, she escapes with the help of a hunstman named Eric who is trying to get revenge on the Queen.

Eric is very gruff but teaches Snow White how to fend for herself against the evil creatures of the forest. When she eats a poisonous apple, her childhood sweetheart Prince Charmant must kiss her in order to unfreeze her lips and give her the potion to heal her. She thinks she’s in love with Eric, but he assures her Prince Charmant is her one true love.
